Private Pilot Ground School

Since September, I have been taking a class at a local high school to prepare for the FAA written test on my way to get a private pilot's license. This is a preparation for only the written part of the FAA test and not the up-in-the-air hours in an actual airplane. Ed Fink, Master Certified Flight Instructor, teaches our class, and it's great to learn a lot of neat stuff about airplanes and flight.
Update - December 2008: I passed!

Up In The Air With Dr. Sax

Friend Craig Christman now has his private pilot license, and last June, he took me up for a ride on a Florida summer morning. These are pictures from that trip. It was clear when we went up, but as time passed, the clouds started to build. That increases turbulence which we could feel. Fun stuff, and someday, I'll have my license.
